On April 18, 2025 SHINE Society of Excellence reached a new milestone in its mission to empower underserved youth through innovation and entrepreneurship! SHINE Executive Director, Debra Titus attended the Annual Pro Bono Consulting Symposium hosted at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business! There, graaduate students shared bold new approaches to revenue generation, investmebnt strategy, and scalable growth models for many local non-profits...and SHINE being one of the eight non-profits affored this amazing opportunity!
The symposium served as a catalyst for fresh ideas and a shared vision, laying the foundation for a formal partnership between SHINE and one of the nation's top business schools. This strategic alliance markes the beginning of an expanded mission for SHINE-one that leverages academic and entrepreneurial expertise to broaden impact, enhance community engagement, and support the organization's next phase of development. Thank you to CMU Tepper School of Business Pro Bono Consulting for helping to position SHINE to deepen its roots and extend its reach like never before!

Mentoring
SHINE offers mentoring through its award-winning program SHINE Beauty Academy™ . Youth create their own skin and body care products, and in turn sell products to patrons at an end of program showcase.
Our Unique Model
